About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Account Manager who thrives on organization, strategy, and client satisfaction and is experienced in the world of search marketing. In this role, you’ll be the go-to relationship manager for up to 20 client retainers, guiding projects from start to finish and working hand-in-hand with our internal and outsourced team of designers, writers, and developers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of 15–20 ongoing client retainers, serving as the primary point of contact
  • Lead monthly reporting, ongoing communications, and (for select clients) recurring meetings
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships based on trust, reliability, and results
  • Coordinate services across SEO, PPC, WordPress maintenance, graphic design, email, and social media
  • Scope and manage occasional one-time projects such as SEO audits/strategies and branding/web design initiatives
  • Translate client priorities into clearly defined internal tasks and timelines
  • Leverage and manage a cross-functional team of internal and external team members to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand and improve client programs
  • No direct copywriting, website development, or backlink-building is required. However, you will be tasked with overseeing that all content is produced to our client’s standards and delivered on time.
  • Some keyword research, strategic content direction, data analysis to identify new opportunities, presenting key SEM insights to the client, and working with our SEO writers and web developers to ensure everything is executed perfectly to plan.

Experience & Key Characteristics

  • 5+ years of experience in client-facing account management, preferably at a digital or search marketing agency
  • Strong working knowledge of digital marketing, especially SEO and PPC, plus familiarity with WordPress, email marketing, social media, and graphic design workflows
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a knack for reading and adapting to diverse client personalities
  • Strong time management skills and a bias for action. We’re looking for someone who moves fast, overcomes roadblocks, and gets things done
  • Confidence managing multiple client priorities and cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, LookerStudio, SEO tools (SEMrush/Ahrefs/Moz), Mailchimp, social media platforms, and WordPress
  • Familiarity with ClickUp or similar project management tool
  • Familiarity with Slack or similar communication tool
  • Local to Nashville, TN
